50 ECOCA stoves installed in IDP villages in Myanmar with Caritas Denmark

In 2019, Pesitho and Caritas Denmark installed 50 ECOCA stoves to internally displaced families (IDPs) residing in Kapen and Kapaungpin villages in Myanmar. Our work was in collaboration with Caritas Myanmar partners. The pilot study of our solar powered cookstove allowed insights into how the stove suited families everyday cooking, highlighting the benefits and draw backs. From this pilot, we have been able to make necessary technical adjustments to our ECOCA stove ensuring succinct adjustments to the families needs. The study also provided lessons that help us further develop our mission in providing affordable and sustainable solutions for everyday cooking. You can read more about our pilot study though the End-Line report conducted by Caritas Denmark and Aarhus University.
